What do everyday objects and personal memories tell us about environmental change? Which personal items reflect the human impact on nature for you? Changing Natures is a digital, participatory collection experiment on the Anthropocene: Join us to celebrate the public launch of our platform and become part of the collection!
Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, Jun 16, 2022, 6.30 pm
The event for the public launch of the platform will combine citizen science, culture and research: An interactive experience framed by artistic interventions by FARN Kollektiv (featuring Sandra Hüller, directed by Tom Schneider, set design by Michael Graessner, costume design by Kathi Maurer).
We invite you to bring your own object to the event – and transform it into a part of the collection yourself on site: During the event, you can digitize it, link it to other objects, and tell its story to others. Your object and your story can contribute to a better understanding of the changes unfolding in our environment and develop new ideas for a sustainable future!
What objects or documents are we looking for? Any object or document that, in your eyes, tells us something about the changes in our environment, originates from the past and has a personal connection to you.
Among other things, you can expect:
- Digitization stands
- Storytelling and memory workshops
- A performance by FARN Kollektiv
- An Anthropocene audio guide
- Exchange on participatory science and environmental change
